EWCP is recognised as a world leader in the field of carnivore conservation.
Ethiopian wolves are only found in the mountains of Ethiopia, where some 500 survive in small populations threatened by habitat loss and diseases.
They are the guardians of the roof of Africa. By protecting them we safeguard many fascinating Afroalpine endemics from extinction.

EWCP implements five core projects throughout the Ethiopian Highlands:
Monitoring & Research
Detecting changes of status and threats in all wolf populations, and finding solutions to conservation problems.
One Health
Managing diseases, with benefits for people, wildlife and domestic stock.
Biodiversity Friendly Futures
Building a sustainable future where people and wildlife share the benefits of conservation.
Living with Wolves
Building a future where wolves and people in the Afroalpine highlands coexist.
Conservation Translocations
Managing populations to boost recovery, avoid extinctions, and expand the species range.
Your support keeps us going
